he Lay Centre at Foyer Unitas, and the Vincent Palotti Institute will host an afternoon of reflection and prayer at the Centro Pro Unione (Via Santa Maria dell'Anima, 30, 1st floor, just behind Piazza Navona). The speaker will be The Revd. Dr. Olav FYKSE TVEIT, General Secretary, World Council of Churches, Geneva. The title of his lecture is Renewed Mission of the World Council of Churches in the Search for Christian Unity. An Ecumenical Celebration of the Word will follow.

The guest speaker will be The Revd. Dr. Roger A. Ferlo, Associate Dean and Director of the Institute for Christian Formation and Leadership, and Professor of Religion and Culture, Virginia Theological Seminary, USA, and the former Rector of Saint Luke in the Fields Episcopal Church, New York City.

The Episcopal Church of Saint Paul's "Inside the Walls" will host Solemn Evensong in honour of the Conversion of Saint Paul, its Patronal Feast. Bishop Richard Garrard, former Representative of the Archbishop of Canterbury and Director of the Anglican Centre (2001-2003), longtime friend of Caravita, and Interim Rector at Saint Paul's, will preside and preach.

The Eucharist will be celebrated at the Anglican Centre (Palazzo Doria Pamphili, Piazza Collegio Romano, 2).

At the Basilica of Saint Paul's "Outside the Walls", the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will conclude with Solemn Vespers. His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI will preside and preach. Tickets are needed for this liturgy so please inform a member of the Pastoral Staff no later than next Sunday, 16 January, if you wish to attend.
